All of our yoga sessions are designed to have participants build skills that assist in regulating the nervous system, as well as cultivating a collaborative relationship with the body. Our goal is to use the healing practice of Yoga to equip students with tools to use in everyday life, so they can be their happiest, healthiest, truest, and fullest selves. All of Flihh’s yoga classes focus on cultivating a healing mind-body-spirit-environment connection.
Flihh’s yoga classes incorporate all 8-limbs of yoga to take students beyond just the physical practice. The 8 limbs of yoga are: YAMA – Restraints, moral disciplines or moral vows; NIYAMA – Positive duties or observances; ASANA – Posture; PRANAYAMA – Breathing Techniques; PRATYAHARA – Sense withdrawal; DHARANA – Focused Concentration; DHYANA – Meditative Absorption; SAMADHI – Bliss or Enlightenment. Practicing all 8 limbs promotes deeper healing inside and out as they push you to learn more about yourself and how you relate to the world around you.
***All of Flihh’s yoga classes are trauma-informed and accessible. If anything ever feels like too much, or just isn’t right for you; you will always be given an alternative and the option to rest in whatever position is comfortable for you. This is done discreetly, with no questions asked and without judgment. All students will be asked for consent before giving any hands-on adjustments (or hands-on touch in Reiki/thai-massage-infused yoga). All of Flihh’s yoga classes are LGBTQIAP-friendly and gender-affirmative. Flihh spaces are always inclusive and open to ALL with a very strict non-discrimination policy. ***

Vin/Yin Yoga (Sydney) · Wednesdays, 9-10AM (PST) [12-1PM EST]
In person at Flihh Holistic Wellness Studio – San Gabriel – 6 for $95 or $20 per session
Virtual – 6 for $75 or $15 per session
30 minutes of Vinyasa followed by 30 minutes of Yin yoga. The purpose of this practice is to raise the heart rate and build heat with Vinyasa, then use that heat to find a deeper stretch and a deeper release in Yin. Vinyasa Yoga is all about fluid movement guided by breath. This tends to be a more physically intense practice. After 30 minutes, we transition to Yin, where students will be challenged to find their comfortable edge and find stillness in a posture for a few minutes each. This class is perfect for those looking for a short therapeutic workout followed by a meditative, slow paced practice.
Therapeutic Restorative Yoga (Sydney) · Thursdays, 5-6PM (PST) [8-9PM EST]
In person at Flihh Holistic Wellness Studio – San Gabriel – 6 for $95 or $20 per session
Virtual – 6 for $75 or $15 per session
A slow-paced, relaxing practice where fewer poses are held for several minutes each with the use of supports (bolsters, pillows, blankets, etc.). The purpose of Restorative Yoga is to let the body relax and release in passive poses. There is no straining and very little physical effort involved in this practice. Restorative yoga emphasizes the importance of letting go and breathing deeply, making it a great way to calm and soothe the nervous system. A good restorative practice is often said to be more rejuvenating than a nap!
Therapeutic Hatha Yoga Practice (Amanda) · Saturdays 8:00-9:00am (EST)
In person at Flihh Holistic Wellness Studio – Marshfield – 6 for $95 or $20 per session
Virtual – 6 for $75 or $15 per session
Breath to movement, more standing postures, taken at a slow mindful pace. These flows can be more energizing, with opportunities to explore what the body is capable of as we become familiar with the connection between mind and body.
Meditative Yin Yoga (Sydney) · Saturdays, 12-1PM (PST) [3-4PM EST]
In person at Flihh Holistic Wellness Studio – 6 sessions for $95 or $20 per session
Virtual – 6 for $75 or $15 per session
A slow-paced practice where fewer poses are held for a few minutes each. The 3 tenants of Yin Yoga are to find the appropriate depth in a posture (your “comfortable edge”) to find stillness in the posture, and to rest in the posture for some time. The biggest challenge in Yin is to find balance between strain and ease. Yin Yoga is a great way to condition your mind-body-spirit-environment connection as you work to quiet the mind while the body is still.

Prior to the practice, Sydney, a certified Reiki Practitioner and Sound Healer, will use Reiki symbols to infuse the space with this healing energy so that all who enter will immediately feel at peace. Throughout the practice, Sydney will be using symbols and hand placement techniques to give Reiki to the group and to each individual where they need it most. After a slow-paced, 60 minute yoga practice, Sydney will conduct a 30-minute sound bath while students enjoy savasana, aka corpse pose. Students will leave feeling like they’ve just spent an entire day at a spa!
Crown to Root Chakra Balancing Yin Yoga with Sound Healing (Sydney) · 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month, 4:30-5:30PM (PST) [7:30-8:30 EST]
In person at Flihh Holistic Wellness Studio – San Gabriel – 6 for $160 or $30 per session
Virtual – 6 for $120 or $22 per session
In this specialized Yin Yoga Practice, we will combine postures and sound healing to unblock, balance, and align our energy centers. There are many yoga poses that align with specific chakras, just as there are certain sound frequencies that target certain chakras. With each pose, Sydney, a certified Sound Healer, will play sound-healing instruments that correlate to the same chakra. Starting with the crown chakra, working our way down to the root chakra, each pose will be held for a few minutes, accompanied by live healing sound. This will be a full-body rejuvenation and chakra alignment. Challenge your mind, body, and spirit to find calm and stillness in this deeply meditative practice.
