How does Resilience lead to health and healing?

At flihh we talk a lot in groups and workshops about the power of positive change and the Butterflihh effect (adapted from the Butterfly effect in Chaos theory)– little, tiny changes a little bit at a time to eventually lead to health and healing. I wanted to share this image of a palm tree sending out an extra shoot higher than the building into the sunlight. It may be hard to tell from the photo but the sturdier branches during the day are being shrouded from the sunlight quite a bit from the building surrounding them. There are only a couple hours a day when the sunlight comes above the building enough to fully bathe all the branches in sunlight so being resilient this lovely palm tree has sent up an additional shoot to really reach for the sun. This is resilience. We strengthen ourselves by making small changes, little branches reaching out for the sunlight. What are some small things you can do to make little changes for yourself? Stop, take a deep breath, deep in your center; slow down and notice the sounds or sights around you; express a gratitude; encourage yourself with positive self talk or flipping a negative to a positive; reach out and connect to someone (friend, family, animals); lend a helping hand. Little, tiny changes a little bit at a time to eventually lead to health and healing.
