Amber Bassett

Clinical Mental Health Intern

Amber (she/her) is a graduate intern, currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health and School Counseling at Cambridge College. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Saint Anselm College and is a licensed teacher in MA.

Before Amber began her journey to becoming a therapist, she worked as a teacher in public schools, as well as at McLean Hospital’s therapeutic day school for children with ASD and other mental health diagnoses.

Working as a teacher, Amber developed a deep appreciation for the unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives each individual brings to our world. This experience continues to shape her empathic, person-centered approach as she supports individuals on their path to healing and growth. She is excited to be a part of the team at FLIHH and honored to work alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges.

In her free time, Amber enjoys skiing, hiking, and camping. She also loves to relax on the hammock with a good book and listen to the sounds of nature around her.
